Adding an Exchange

1. Go to the Manage tab.
2. In the Add Wallet / Exchange panel, type your exchange name (e.g. Coinbase).
3. Set the Type dropdown to Exchange.
4. Click + Add Account. The exchange appears in Your Accounts on the right.

Adding a Wallet

1. Go to the Manage tab.
2. Type your wallet name (e.g. Ledger Cold Wallet).
3. Set the Type dropdown to Wallet.
4. Click + Add Account.

Adding or Adjusting Coins in an Account

1. In the Add Coin to Account panel, pick your account from the dropdown.
2. Enter the coin symbol (e.g. BTC, ETH, AMP).
3. Enter the quantity — positive to deposit coins, negative to subtract coins after a withdrawal or sale (e.g. -0.25).
4. Click + Add / Adjust Coin. If the coin already exists in that account, the amount is added or subtracted from the current balance. If the result is zero, the coin entry is removed automatically.

⚠️ You cannot subtract more coins than the current balance, and you cannot enter a negative amount for a coin not yet tracked in that account.

Adding Precious Metals (Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium)

1. In the Add Precious Metal to Account panel, pick your account.
2. Choose a metal — 🥇 Gold, 🥈 Silver, ⚪ Platinum, or ⚙️ Palladium.
3. Enter the weight and choose grams or troy ounces from the unit dropdown — CryptoVault converts automatically (1 troy oz = 31.1034768 g). Use a positive weight to deposit, negative to withdraw.
4. Click + Add / Adjust Metal. Holdings are stored and displayed in troy ounces, the standard unit spot prices are quoted in.

Spot prices are fetched live, per troy ounce, from a dedicated precious-metals feed (separate from the crypto price sources) whenever you click ⟳ Refresh Prices — or automatically the moment you first add a metal.

Refreshing Prices

Click ⟳ Refresh Prices in the header at any time. Crypto prices are fetched live from CoinGecko (with Kraken/Binance fallbacks) and precious-metal spot prices from a dedicated metals feed; the timestamp updates automatically. Cached prices remain available if a fetch fails.

Export / Import

• ⬇ Export — Downloads a .csv file listing every Exchange and Wallet with their coins/metals, amounts, unit (coin or troy oz), current prices, and total values. The export date is embedded in the filename.
• ⬆ Import — Load a previously exported .csv file (or a compatible spreadsheet saved as CSV) to repopulate the Manage tab. Existing accounts with the same name will be merged; new ones are created. Prices are not imported — click Refresh after importing.

Supported Coins & Metals

CryptoVault supports 150+ coins including BTC, ETH, SOL, AMP, OXT, EVR, and many more. Any symbol not in the built-in map is passed directly to CoinGecko by its lowercase ticker. You can always add any symbol — if CoinGecko knows it, prices will load. Precious metals — Gold (XAU), Silver (XAG), Platinum (XPT), and Palladium (XPD) — are priced separately per troy ounce via a live spot-price feed, entered by weight in grams or troy ounces.
